Off the coast of Washington state lies a small group of islands known as the San Juan Islands. The largest of these is Orcas Island which is where we stayed during our visit. This horseshoe shaped island is filled with outdoor activities for visitors of all ages.
There is tons of hiking, kayaking, whale watching and shopping, all within this small island. During the day we would spend our time out in nature. While the afternoons we’d wander around Eastsound to do some shopping.
Below is the best shopping guide to Orca’s Island so that you can enjoy your time checking out the local shops!

Material Wit
I first discovered the simplistic designs of Material Wit at the Orca’s Island Farmers Market that happens every Saturday from May to September.
The designer and jewelry maker, Jessie Morrow, is effortlessly beautiful and genuinely kind. Her solid brass earrings immediately caught my eye, as their minimilistic design matches my own personal style.
In Eastsound, Jessie owns her own shop where she has curated products from all over to create a cohesive space to sell these unique items.
Be sure to stop in during your visit to Orcas Island and take home a unique piece that supports a local artist.
Olga’s
This beautiful boutique shop is located in the heart of Eastbound on Orcas Island.
They also have an adorable section devoted to items just for babies and small children.
Darvill’s Bookstore
Who doesn’t love a bookstore? And Darvill’s is not just any bookstore! It is one that is quaint and cozy and has the best ocean views.
Darvill’s is a place designed to stay awhile, where you will be encouraged to grab a cup of coffee and relax with a good book.

Nest
If you have a green thumb or are looking for the perfect gift to bring home for yourself or a friend, Nest might just be that shop.
Atelier Boutique
Located directly on the main street in Eastbound, Atelier Boutique is the best shop to find gifts that are specifically unique to Orcas Island and the Pacific Northwest.
They also have the largest selection of stickers that I found on Orcas. So naturally, I had to purchase a few.
Orcas Island Pottery
Located just a short 3.5 miles outside of Eastsounds, Orcas Island Pottery is place you absolutely must visit. Off the main road you will take a turn down a long, tree-lined driveway. From there, continue following the signs until you reach the parking area. Then you proceed down the footpath down the the pottery shop and studio.
Since 1945, Orcas Island Pottery has been creating many different shapes and styles of pottery in a wide range of colors.
