🌴 SAVE FOR FUTURE TRAVEL PLANNING IN THE PHILIP 🌴 SAVE FOR FUTURE TRAVEL PLANNING IN THE PHILIPPINES ⛵️

If you’re planning a trip to Palawan in the future then you’ll most likely want to take a day boat trip around the islands.

If you are going to do this I HIGHLY recommend paying a little bit more for a private tour over a group tour. While we were in El Nido we did both (private and group) just to see if the private really was worth the extra $$. IT IS! So even if you are on a budget, this would be the place to splurge a little and pay for a private tour.

The private tour will leave earlier than the group tour and will allow you to stay out until sunset. Group tours will depart when everyone has arrived and that could sometimes be an hour late.

In El Nido they break up the sights into 4 different tours and with a private tour we were able to combine destinations from 2 different tours.

The private tours are customizable meaning that you can stay however long or short you want at each stop whereas the group tours have a set schedule.

In Coron it is the same way with group tours and private tours. We only did a private tour in Coron and you pay for the boat and then the entrance fee to each place you stop at separately. So if you want a cheaper trip just do less stops.

Group tours cost about $30-40 per person and $90-120 USD for a private tour.

Of course I wore my @mahoshades the entire time I was out on the boat in the Philippines. Their polarized lenses helped protect my eyes from the bright sun and with the ZUMA fit I knew they wouldn’t fall off my face and be lost at sea! You can always use code ‘TRAVELED’ to get 10% off your order!

Have you been to Nusa Penida island in Indonesia y Have you been to Nusa Penida island in Indonesia yet?

SAVE THIS POST FOR FUTURE PLANNING 🗺

Nusa Penida is a small island located about 45 minutes by boat from Bali. The easiest way to get there is to take a boat out of Sanur on Bali. There are plenty of options so it’s not always necessary to reserve or purchase your ticket ahead of time.

Once you arrive in Nusa Penida you can either rent a motorbike or arrange for your hotel to pick you up. To explore the island you can use a motorbike or rent a private tour which will take you around in a car. I recommend only driving a scooter if you have some previous experience and feel comfortable as the roads aren’t so good on the island! (They are a lot better than when I was first there in 2017!)

There are so many beautiful spots to explore on the island of Nusa Penida so make sure to stay a few days! Especially if you want to relax and enjoy some of the beaches like Diamond Beach or Kelingking!

Top 10 Things to See & Do on Nusa Penida:
1. Diamond Beach (this picture)
2. Atuh Beach
3. Thousand Islands Viewpoint
4. Rumah Pohon “Tree House”
5. Kelinking Beach
6. Broken Beach
7. Angel’s Billabong

Wat Arun, also called Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan is a Buddhist temple located in Bangkok, Thailand. It is situated on the West Bank of the Chao Phraya River directly across from Wat Pho and The Grand Palace.

You can get to Wat Arun by taking the boat across the river or driving over the bridge. The ferry boat takes about 5 minutes and costs 4 THB ($0.13 USD).

The entrance fee is 50 THB ($1.65) and you must pay in cash. There is also a dress code and you must cover your legs and shoulders. You can rent a sarong at the temple for 20 THB plus a refundable 100 THB.

Make sure you arrive early as it can get very crowded and hot during the middle of the day!

Last month I got to stay in one of the cutest tiny Last month I got to stay in one of the cutest tiny homes in the small town of Alachua, Florida! Set in the perfect location to explore the nearby springs the Chandra Tiny Home by @simplifyfurther truly felt like a home away from home.

It also got me thinking about how fun it would be to travel around in a tiny home or living the van life for a period of time while exploring places around the world!

If you could live in a tiny home or do the van life where would be the first place you would go?

Check out the FREE travel guide about the Florida Springs which is now up on the blog! It also includes the links to the @simplifyfurther tiny homes! Link in Bio! @thisworldtraveled.

5. Kelinking Beach
